Naman Fashions

If you’re looking for us, we are right at No. 11 Pradhan Marg. It’s on the Calgiri Road side of Malviya Nagar, which stays pretty noisy throughout the day. Naman Fashions is basically a small workshop where we spend most of our hours around fabrics and sewing machines. The lights stay on late some nights when we have a lot of garments to finish. It’s not one of those big malls. It is just a regular place where we get the work done. My brother handles the material sourcing while I look after the stitching team. We have about six people working here regularly. The space is filled with rolls of cloth and thread spools everywhere you look. Sometimes the tea man from across the street brings us chai in the afternoon and we take a ten-minute break. The traffic on Calgiri Road can be a headache for deliveries, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We started this because we knew how to make clothes and that’s what we still do. No fancy brochures here. We just show the samples to whoever visits the shop. Sometimes a button falls off or a seam isn't perfect, so we fix it right there. It’s local work. Malviya Nagar has changed, more shops now, but we stay right here at number eleven. We just keep our heads down and keep sewing.
