If you are near the Veer Hanuman Chamathkari Temple by Gurjar Ki Thadi, you’ve probably walked past us. We are right there on New Sanganer Road. The shop is small, but we cram a lot of power tools into the space. We’ve got drills, grinders, and all sorts of saws stacked up on the shelves. It’s a noisy part of town because of the traffic from the GPO area and the temple visitors, especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays. We spend a lot of time showing people how to change the brushes in their motors or which blade works for the wood they are cutting. It’s not just about selling things; people bring in their broken tools and we try to see if they can be fixed instead of thrown away. The counter is usually covered in grease and spare parts. We don’t have a website or anything like that. Most people just know us from the neighborhood or because they saw the sign while stuck in traffic. Sometimes we have tea with the shopkeepers next door while waiting for the next customer. It’s a basic life, really. We open up early and stay until the streetlights come on. The shop gets a bit dusty with the road construction nearby, but we try to keep the tools clean. It’s just a place where you get what you need for your job and move on without any complications.
