Mahalaxmi Steels is located at No-154 in the New Loha Mandi area. Being in the iron market means we are surrounded by nothing but steel and heavy trucks all day. It is a very industrial kind of place and not somewhere you would go for a quiet walk. Our unit is number 154, and we keep it filled with different types of steel products. The ground is often dusty and your clothes will definitely get dirty if you stay here for too long. We have a few guys who work in the yard moving the heavy stuff around. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. Most of our customers are builders or other traders who know exactly where the New Loha Mandi is. We just focus on keeping the stock levels right so that when someone comes in, we don't have to send them away empty-handed. The work is simple but it is physically hard. We start when the market opens and keep going until it is time to close the shutters. There is no fancy office here, just a small corner with a table where we keep the bills and the register.
