Our place is out in G-108 in the Sitapura Industrial Area of Jaipur. Khandelwal Textile, Khandelwal Exclusive Pvt. Ltd. shares the space here. Being in an industrial area means things are always moving. There are trucks coming in and out, and the sound of machines is just part of the background. It gets pretty hot in Jaipur, especially in these large buildings, so we just do our best to stay cool and keep working. We handle a lot of fabric here, so there are always stacks of material and threads everywhere you look. It’s not the neatest place in the world, but it’s a working warehouse and office. We’ve been here for a good amount of time and know the rhythms of Sitapura. Some days are just long hours of checking orders and making sure the colors are right. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. Usually, it's just the owner or one of the managers walking around making sure everything is moving along. We take pride in the actual work, not the image of it. If you walk in, you’ll see people who are busy and probably covered in a bit of lint. That is just how it is when you work with textiles every day. We just stay focused on the orders and try to get everything out on time. It is hard work but we are used to the heat and the pace.
