Keshav Properties

Choti Chaupar is one of those places that never sleeps. There is always a lot of noise, horns honking, and people selling things. Our office, Keshav Properties, is right there in the thick of it. It is an old building with high ceilings and thick walls that keep the Jaipur heat out a little bit. We don't have fancy glass doors or air conditioning that works all the time. Instead, we have a big old ceiling fan that hums. Most of our day is spent talking to old residents of the city. They come to us when they want to sell a portion of their old house or find a shop to rent. We know the history of many of these buildings. It is not just about the money; it is about knowing who is moving where. We keep our records in big bound books. Sometimes we have to go out and meet people at the local tea stalls to finalize things. It is a very traditional way of doing business. We don't use much technology. If you want to know about a property, you come and sit with us for half an hour. We will tell you everything we know. The evening light in the chaupar is very nice, and that is usually our busiest time. People stop by on their way home. We usually have the radio on in the background playing old songs while we work on our entries.
