Ajeet Engineering Works

We are over at Plot 11 on Road Number 9 in Kartarpura. This whole area around Bais Godam is full of workshops like ours. We do engineering work, mostly fixing machine parts and doing custom jobs on the lathes. The shop is pretty old, and the floor is stained with decades of oil and grease. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear nice clothes. We have a few heavy machines that have been with us since we started. They make a lot of noise, so we have to shout to hear each other sometimes. There is no big sign out front, just the name on the wall. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy websites. Most of our work comes from other businesses in the industrial area who need something repaired quickly. We stay busy enough. Sometimes a job is harder than it looks, and we stay late into the evening to get it finished. There is always a pot of tea going in the back for when we need a break. It’s just a bunch of guys who know how to work with their hands. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just fix what’s broken and move on to the next task. It's dusty and loud, but it's what we've been doing for years and we're used to it by now. The metal scraps piled in the corner get sold off once a month to keep the place clear and tidy.
