Deepa Engineers Works

Deepa Engineers Works is located at 167 D in the Jhotwara Industrial Area. It’s a busy part of the city with a lot of noise and movement throughout the day. Our workshop is exactly what you would expect from a place that deals with engineering work. There are tools everywhere, some piles of metal scraps in the corners, and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep it. We spend our days fixing things and making parts. It’s noisy because of the machinery, so we usually have to shout a bit to be heard over the grinders. We don’t have a fancy office. There’s a small desk where we keep the ledger and answer the phone, but most of the time we are out on the floor. The air always smells a bit like oil and burnt metal. It’s the kind of work that keeps your hands busy and your mind occupied. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the other shop owners on this block. We often borrow tools from each other or share a cup of tea during a afternoon break. It’s a hard-working environment, and we don’t put on any acts for anyone who walks in. We just tell people what can be done and how long it will take. There’s no marketing talk here, just the sound of drills and hammers. It’s a practical place for practical people.
