Deepak Engineering Industries

Deepak Engineering Industries is our workshop over at F 34 on VKIA Road No 4. Being in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area means it’s always loud with the sound of metal hitting metal. We’ve been here for years, making different kinds of machine parts and doing general engineering work. The shop floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil, which is just part of the job. We have some big machines that take up most of the space. It gets really hot in the summer because of the roof, but we just keep the fans going. Our workers are mostly local guys who have been doing this kind of manual labor for a long time. We don't have a fancy office for meetings; usually, we just talk to customers right there on the shop floor. They bring us broken parts or sketches on pieces of paper, and we see what we can do. It’s a lot of measuring and cutting and welding. We aren't doing anything high-tech, just solid mechanical work. The area around Road No 4 is full of trucks and other factories, so it’s a very busy place to be. We just focus on our own tasks and try to get the orders finished on time. It’s a simple life of hard work and grease, but it’s what we know how to do. Some days are long, but we just get the work done.
