Kalpana Cargo & Travels

We've been here at Hasanpura for a while now. Our office sits right opposite the railway crossing, which means we hear the trains go by all day long. It's a busy spot. People come in when they need to send packages or if they're looking to go somewhere. Kalpana Cargo & Travels is just a small setup, nothing fancy. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just waiting for the gate to open so trucks can pass through. The traffic gets backed up sometimes near the crossing, but that's just how life is in this part of town. Mostly it is just me and a couple of others keeping track of things. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls. It is more of a place where you can just walk in and ask about rates or routes. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea while looking at the street. Other days it's a mess of paperwork and people in a hurry. Being right across from the tracks makes us easy to find if you know the area. We handle a bit of everything, from heavy boxes to booking tickets for families going on holiday. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy. We like the neighborhood even with all the noise from the station nearby. It feels like we are right in the middle of everything happening in Hasanpura.
