Kalakar School Of Dance Music

If you are near Adarsh Nagar and pass by Bees Dukan, you’ll likely hear us. We are at number 610, and our rooms are almost always filled with the sound of someone playing an instrument or the thumping of feet on the floor. It’s a school for dance and music, but it’s more of a community spot where people come to practice. We have students of all ages, from little kids who can barely hold a guitar to older people who just want to learn some traditional songs. The rooms aren't soundproofed perfectly, so you can often hear a violin lesson in one room and a dance class in the next. It’s a bit chaotic sometimes, but that’s the way we like it. We spend our days tuning instruments, fixing strings, and showing people where to put their hands. Adarsh Nagar is a busy neighborhood, and we’ve been part of it for a while now. The floors have some scratches from all the activity, and the walls have a few posters of old musicians. We don’t have a big corporate structure, just a few teachers who know their stuff and want to share it. It gets a bit crowded in the evenings when everyone gets off school or work, but there’s a good energy to the place. It’s just a normal school where we focus on the notes and the steps. The instruments stay in their cases until the next student arrives.
