Confusion Dance Academy

Over on Amer Road, in the Govind Nagar Pur area, there’s a spot where you’ll hear music playing most of the time. That’s us at Confusion Dance Academy. It is right there on the main Amer Road, so you can’t really miss the noise of the traffic passing by outside. The space itself has some big mirrors and floors that we try to keep clean, even though people are always walking in and out with dusty shoes. It isn't a massive place, but it has enough room for people to move around without bumping into each other too much. We don't have fancy leather sofas or a big reception desk; it’s mostly just benches and a place to leave your bags. The walls have a few scuffs here and there from years of people practicing, which we think gives it some character. In the summer, it gets quite warm, so we have the fans going full blast all the time. Sometimes the music from the speakers competes with the honking from the street, but that is just part of being in this part of town. We are just local people who like what we do, and we spend our evenings here making sure everything runs okay. It’s a bit loud and a bit busy, but it feels like home to those of us who are here every day. It's just a place for movement and regular folks.
