G 9 Institute Of Music

We’re based out in Sector 2 of Pratap Nagar. It’s a fairly quiet area, which is good when you’re trying to teach music, though we do make some noise ourselves. The institute isn't anything grand; it’s just a few rooms we’ve set up with soundproofing foam that doesn't always work as well as we hoped. We have some guitars hanging on the walls and a drum kit that’s seen better days, but it still sounds alright. We started this because there weren't many places around here for kids or even adults to just come and learn an instrument without it being too formal. We don't have uniforms or strict rules, just show up and try to practice. Sometimes we have small performances in the main room, and it gets really hot when there are more than ten people in there. We usually have to keep the fans on high, which makes it hard to hear the acoustic guitars. The floor is a bit scuffed from moving amplifiers around, and the chairs are all mismatched, but nobody seems to care once they start playing. Most of our students live just a few blocks away, so they just walk over after their school finishes. We just try to keep the instruments in working order and help people get better at whatever they’re playing. It’s a simple life, just music and a lot of patience from the instructors and the students alike who keep coming back every single week.
