Our place is F-112 in the Garment Zone of the E.P.I.P Sitapuraindl. Area. It’s a big block with a lot of similar buildings, so it's easy to get lost if you aren't looking at the numbers. We’ve been here in this unit for quite a while. Inside, it’s mostly racks of garments and some heavy-duty machines. The air usually smells a bit like new fabric and steam from the irons. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you walk in, you’ll probably just see someone busy at a table or moving boxes. We focus on the textile work, so the floors are usually covered in bits of cloth and thread by mid-afternoon. We try to keep it tidy, but work gets in the way. It’s a practical space. We don't have any big mission statements on the walls, just some calendars and maybe a few notes pinned up about delivery dates. The coffee machine in the corner is probably the most used thing in the office besides the sewing gear. We all just get along and do our bit. When the heat gets bad in the summer, we open all the doors to get a breeze through the Garment Zone. It’s a lot of hard work, but we like being part of the hustle in Sitapura. It feels real and doesn't need to be anything more than that.
