Jupiter Stampings

Jupiter Stampings is located at A-129-F on Road No 9 in the VKIA area. We do metal stampings here, which basically means we spend our days with big presses and sheets of metal. It’s a noisy job, and the floor is usually covered in some bit of scrap or oil. That’s just the nature of industrial work. We’ve been in VKIA for a while now, and we’ve seen the area change, but our routine stays pretty much the same. We get the raw material in, set up the dies, and start the production run. It takes a lot of attention to make sure the pieces come out the right size. If the machine is off by even a little bit, the whole batch is ruined. We have a few guys who have been with us for years and they really know how to handle the heavy equipment. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor with grease on our hands. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we do. We supply parts to other manufacturers who need them for their own machines or products. Most of our business comes from long-time contacts. We just try to keep the machines running and the orders moving out the door on time. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, even if it is loud and messy.
