Being at 116/33 in Adarsh Nagar means we're right in the middle of everything. The shop gets a bit dusty with all the metal work going on, but that’s just how the job is. We start early most mornings before the sun gets too hot and the building starts to warm up. There's always the sound of machines or someone moving heavy parts around. It isn't exactly a quiet place to work, but we like the energy. The floor is concrete and has a few cracks here and there from years of use. We’ve been in Adarsh Nagar for a good bit of time. People in the area know where to find us if they need something fixed or made. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the narrow lane outside, and there's a bit of shouting until things get moved, but it always clears up eventually. We keep our tools sorted, mostly. Sometimes things get misplaced when we're in a big hurry. We don't have a lobby or a waiting room. Just the workspace and a small wooden desk for the bills and the phone. It gets loud when the grinders are going. We just wear our gear and keep at it until the day is done. Lunch is usually brought from home in tiffins and eaten quickly in the back. The metal scraps pile up in the corner until the weekend. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We don't make a fuss.
