Journey

We are tucked away in Shyam Nagar on Uday Path. E 254 is a quiet spot compared to the main roads. Journey started because we just liked planning trips for ourselves and then friends started asking. It’s not a big operation. We have a couple of chairs for visitors and a very old coffee machine that makes a lot of noise. The neighborhood is mostly families, so it’s peaceful. We spend our mornings checking emails and our afternoons talking to vendors. Sometimes we lose track of time because we get into the details of a specific route. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. It’s just a small office where we handle the logistics. The sun hits the front window around three, and it gets a bit warm, but we have a fan. We handle everything from short weekend hops to longer stays. It’s mostly just making sure the dates line up and the prices aren't too high. We try to be practical about it. If a hotel looks bad, we say so. People seem to appreciate that we don't try to sell them things they don't need. It’s just a regular job for us. We like the independence of being here in Shyam Nagar. It feels more like a community than a business district. Sometimes neighbors stop by just to chat about where they should go for their next summer break. We keep a lot of physical maps because they’re easier to look at than a small screen.
