Make In India Steel

Our shop, Make In India Steel, is located in the Laxmi Narayanpuri Industrial Area in Jhotwara. It is at number 73, right in the middle of all the other factories and workshops on this street. The air always smells like metal and welding around here, which is something you get used to. We spend our days cutting steel and moving heavy beams from one side of the shop floor to the other. It is hard work and your hands are always dirty by the end of the day. There are about five of us who work here regularly. We do not have a receptionist or a lobby for people to wait in. If you show up, you will probably find us in the back with the saws or the welding gear. Jhotwara is a noisy place, but we like being in the industrial zone where we can work late. The office is just a small desk in the corner with a bunch of invoices and old notebooks. We make things for local builders and whoever else needs some custom steel work done. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes outside, which is always a headache for everyone. We just try to get the orders finished so the customers can pick them up on time. It is a simple business, really. No big meetings or fancy presentations, just steel and hard work. We have been at this spot for several years and know most of the neighbors around us.
