Over here at Jhalani Tools India Ltd, things stay pretty focused on the work. We are out on Kalwar Road in the Shyampuri area. If you are looking for us, we are near Kanta 40. The shop floor is usually covered in metal shavings or bits of packaging. Handling a lot of different tools every day is heavy work, so everyone stays pretty tired by the time evening comes around. The road outside is always under some kind of construction it feels like. It makes it hard to keep the floors clean, so sweeping happens whenever there's a free minute. No big signs are hanging out front, just the door and the stock inside. The building is just a regular spot on the road. A lot of time is spent counting inventory and packing things into crates. Sometimes staying late is necessary to finish a shipment. It is just part of the job. Most of the guys here have been working with tools for years, so recognizing parts by sight is second nature. This isn't a place meant to impress anyone with a fancy showroom. It is a place for work. When the lunch break happens, sitting out back where it’s a bit quieter is the best part of the day. It’s a basic operation but it works for us. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out. There is always more to do tomorrow morning.
