Badhalia Gems & Jewellery

Our shop is located at No. 1582 in the Haveli Navratna. It’s on the 2nd Cross of Jariyon Ka Rasta, which is right in the middle of the Johri Bazar area. If you know the bazar, you know how crowded it gets. We go by Badhalia Gems & Jewellery. The building is old, which gives it some character, but it also means the walls aren't exactly straight. We have been working out of this space for quite some time. It’s a family-run kind of thing. My uncle used to sit in the same spot where I sit now. We have lots of little drawers filled with different stones and bits of metal. The bazar is always loud with people shouting and bikes going by, but inside the haveli, it’s a little bit quieter. Not completely silent, but enough to focus. We don't have any of those fancy computerized displays. We just use our eyes and the old loupes. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in, so we’re always wiping down the glass counters. People come in from the 2nd Cross and ask for directions or look for specific gems. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, the desk gets covered in paper and tools. It’s just how we work. Nothing fancy, just a shop in an old part of the city. We like being part of the history here. Every stone has its own story, and we just help people find what they are looking for.
