A. S. T. Gems

We’re located down in the basement of Mullah Cottage, specifically at A-3. It’s right in Chameliwala Market on M. I. Road. Being in a basement means it’s a bit quieter than the busy street upstairs, which is nice for the kind of work we do at A. S. T. Gems. We spend a lot of time under the lights looking at stones. It’s not a big fancy showroom like some of the others. It’s more of a workspace where we actually get things done. The market is always full of life, so there’s never a dull moment when we step outside for a break. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. Most people who know the market know where to find us. We don't use any high-tech marketing. We just rely on people knowing our work and coming back. It can get a little cramped with all the equipment and boxes, but we’ve grown used to it over the years. We aren't some big international chain with thousands of employees. It’s just a local shop run by people who care about gems. Sometimes the stairs are a bit much for us, but that's life. We just open up every morning and see what the day brings. It’s a steady way to live. We enjoy the routine and the people we meet in the market. That is about it for us here at Mullah Cottage. We keep it simple.
