You can find Jai Ganesh Metal Finishers over in the Sudarshanpura Industrial Area at plot B-32. This place is all about the finishing touches on metal parts. It’s a bit of a messy process with the polishing and the chemicals, so we all wear our old clothes and don't worry too much about getting dirty. The machines make a constant humming sound that you stop noticing after an hour or two. We get parts from all over the city that need to be cleaned up or given a specific shine. It’s not the kind of work that looks pretty while it’s happening, but the end result is what matters. The building itself is an old industrial shed, and the roof leaks a little bit in the corner when the rain is heavy, but it doesn't get in the way of the work. We aren't big on meetings or reports. Usually, someone just drops off a load of metal, we tell them when it’ll be ready, and then we get to it. It’s a small team of us here, and we’ve worked together for so long that we don't need much direction. Sudarshanpura is a tough area with a lot of dust and noise, but it’s where the work is. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the finish right on every piece that comes through. We stay until the job is done, even if it means finishing late in the evening.
