Agrawal Metals

You have to drive out about 23km on the Main Ajmer Road to find Agrawal Metals. We are right across from the Rajasthan Dental College and fairly close to the Toll Plaza, so we see a lot of highway traffic zooming past all day long. It can be a bit of a dusty location because of all the trucks and the wind coming off the road, but it’s a good spot for what we do. We deal in all kinds of metals, and our yard is usually piled high with stock that needs to be sorted or sent out. It’s a long way from the city center, which means it’s a bit quieter out here once you step away from the road noise. We don't have a big fancy storefront. It’s mostly just the warehouse and a small area where we handle the billing. Being near the dental college is the best way to tell people where we are because everyone knows that landmark. The work is heavy and fairly repetitive, but it’s what we know how to do. Sometimes the heat out here on Ajmer Road gets pretty intense, especially in the summer months when the metal gets too hot to touch without gloves. We just take our breaks under the shade and get back to it. It’s a practical business for practical people, and we don't try to make it seem like more than that.
