Ishvarlal Gulab Chand Lohiya

You can find us at 305, Tripolia Bazar. It’s a very old part of the city and the streets are always packed with shoppers and vendors selling everything. Ishvarlal Gulab Chand Lohiya is the name on the board, but most people just know us as the shop at number 305. The building is traditional, and the entrance is narrow, so you have to watch your step when you come inside. We have a lot of items stacked up against the walls, and sometimes it feels like the whole place is held together by the inventory itself. Tripolia Bazar is a very noisy and colorful place to work. There’s always someone selling something right outside our door, and the smell of street food is constantly wafting in from the corner. We don't have a computer system to track everything; we still use the old paper registers and pencils for all our notes. It’s a bit slower that way, but it feels right for a place like this. The ceiling is high, which helps keep it a bit cooler when the sun is beating down on the bazaar outside. We don't have fancy uniforms or a polished sales pitch. We just talk to people like normal and try to find what they are looking for in the piles of stock we have. It’s a busy life, and by the time we close the shutters at night, we’re usually pretty exhausted. But it’s a good kind of tired, knowing we’ve been part of the daily bustle.
