India Today Fashions

We’ve been based out of F 55 A in the Malviya Industrial Area for quite some time now. If you’re familiar with Jaipur, you probably know where the C2 Plaza is, and we’re just a short walk from there. India Today Fashions is basically a place where we spend most of our waking hours dealing with fabric and patterns. It gets pretty loud with the machines running all day, but that’s just the sound of work getting done. My father started things off and now a few of us keep the wheels turning. The Malviya Industrial Area isn't the fanciest part of town, it's mostly warehouses and dust, but it works for what we need. We usually have rolls of cloth stacked up against the walls and threads all over the floor by evening. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a headache, but we manage. We aren't some big corporate setup with receptionists. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll just see people hunched over tables or packing boxes. It’s practical work. We make clothes that people actually wear in their daily lives. Most of our guys have been here for years, so we all know how the others work. We just try to keep up with the orders that come in. It’s a busy life, especially when the seasons change and everyone wants new things. We just keep our heads down and stay at it.
