We run Ijk Golden Constructions And Infra out of Flat 1211 in Block 12, located on Palace Road. It is a bit of an unusual spot for a construction company, being in a residential flat, but it works for us. We keep our main files there and do all the planning from the dining table or the small side room we turned into an office. Palace Road is usually quite lively, and being in a block means we have neighbors all around us. We handle construction and infrastructure projects, which sounds big, but we are just a small group of people. Most of our work happens out on the actual sites, not in the apartment. We use the flat mostly for meetings and getting the paperwork in order for the government or the clients. It is not a fancy corporate headquarters by any means. There is usually a pot of tea going and a lot of talk about cement prices or labor schedules. We have been at this for a while now. Some days are really long, especially when we have to travel across the city to check on a bridge or a new building. We do not have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on doing the work and hoping people notice. It is a simple way of living, really. Just keeping the business going from our little spot on Palace Road.
