Hotel Clarks Amer

We sit at the front desk here at Hotel Clarks Amer in Jaipur. Most days involve handling keys, answering phones, and trying to help people find their rooms without getting lost. It’s a busy spot. People are always coming and going from different places. Sometimes the lobby gets really loud when a big group arrives all at once. We spend a lot of time checking lists and making sure the names match up with the bookings. It’s just us doing the daily work to keep things moving. Jaipur can get pretty hot in the summers, so we appreciate the air conditioning inside the building while we work. We’ve been at this for a while now. The desk is where everything happens, from lost luggage questions to people asking where the nearest good tea stall is. We don't have fancy speeches about what we do. It’s just about being here when someone walks through the door. Usually, we are busy sorting out papers or talking to the housekeeping staff about which rooms are ready. It's regular work, nothing too complicated but it keeps us on our feet. Sometimes there are glitches with the computers, and we have to do things the old way with pens and paper until it starts working again. That’s just how it goes here in the front office. We try to keep our paperwork in order, but things get messy when it’s busy.
