Hari Om Steels

I’ve been at Hari Om Steels for a good while now. We are tucked away at F 380 on Road No.- 9F in the VKI Area. It’s always a bit noisy here with the trucks coming in and out of the yard. Mostly, we spend our mornings checking what’s come in and what needs to go out to the sites. Some days the dust is really something, especially when the wind picks up across the industrial area. We don’t have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk, some chairs, and plenty of steel stacked up outside. People stop by looking for specific sizes, and we do what we can to find it in the piles. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from sunrise till the gates close. Sometimes the crane acts up, which slows things down, but that’s just how it goes in a place like this. My tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually the highlight when things get stressful. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, more buildings going up everywhere. Dealing with the heat in the summer is probably the hardest part, but you get used to it after a few seasons. We just keep moving the metal and making sure the paperwork is mostly right. It’s not a complicated life, just a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the orders are loaded properly on the tempos. I think we have about four or five guys here usually, just enough to keep things moving.
