Hanuman Steel

Out here in the Sanchore Tehsil of Jalor District, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Hanuman Steel is located near Bagsari Village, not too far from the main post office. It is a rural area, so we mostly deal with farmers and people building their own houses in the nearby villages. We carry things like reinforcement bars and steel sheets that are needed for cattle sheds or basic construction. The shop is basically a large open yard where we store everything under a tin roof. It can get incredibly dusty when the wind picks up across the plains, but that is just life in this part of Rajasthan. I have been running this place with my family for a while. We don't have any big signs or bright lights to attract people. Most of our customers are folks we have known for years, and they just pull their tractors right up to the gate to load up. We keep things very simple here. There is no corporate structure or fancy titles. I handle the sales and the loading myself most days. Sometimes we have to wait a week or more for new supplies to arrive from the city, but everyone around here understands how it goes. We just focus on providing the basic materials people need to keep their farms and homes going. We hope the rains are good this year because that usually means more building gets done.
