You can find Gurjari Apparels right opposite P. No. A-43 in Laxminaryanpuri. We are situated just outside the Surajpol Gate. This area has a lot of history and you can see the old gate from the end of the street. Our shop is a bit small but we manage to fit a lot of apparel inside. The shelves are mostly made of wood and they are packed tight with all kinds of items. We spend a lot of time sorting through different items. Laxminaryanpuri is a lived-in kind of place, so we see the same neighbors walking by every morning. We usually start the day by pulling up the shutters and letting some fresh air in. The street outside can get dusty when the wind picks up, so we are always wiping down the counters. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. We just have our sign outside and the clothes we sell. Sometimes people get lost looking for the specific plot number, but once they see the Surajpol Gate, they usually figure out where we are. It’s a decent spot to work. We have a small back room where we keep the extra stock and a kettle for making tea. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and we like being part of the local scene here. By the time the sun goes down, we are ready to pack up and head home for dinner.
