Gourav Steels Industries

Gourav Steels Industries sits over on Road No 12 in VKIA, specifically at plot B-139. If you come by in the afternoon, you will see the crane moving back and forth across the yard, shifting heavy steel sections into place. It is a big, open shed that gets quite cold in the winter months, but we prefer that over the summer heat. We have got stacks of steel everywhere you look, organized by size and weight, though sometimes it looks like a bit of a mess to an outsider. My hands are usually stained with rust or oil by noon because I like to be out on the floor seeing how the loading is going. We have a small crew of guys who have been with us for a long time, and they know exactly how to handle the heavy stuff without making a fuss. The road outside B-139 is always full of trailers waiting their turn to get into one of the plots. It is not a place for a quiet walk, that is for sure. We keep our ledgers in a heavy metal cabinet to protect them from the iron dust that seems to settle on everything. There is no air conditioning here, just a few big industrial fans that mostly just move the warm air around. We just focus on moving the steel out the door and keeping the machines maintained so nothing breaks down.
