We sell all kinds of kitchen utensils, mostly stainless steel, but some brass and copper too. The shop is very noisy because every time someone moves a stack of plates or pots, it makes a huge clanging sound. We have everything from tiny spoons to giant cauldrons used for cooking at weddings. People come here when they are setting up a new kitchen or when they need to buy gifts for a marriage. We spend a lot of time polishing the display pieces so they don't look dull from the city air. It’s a crowded space, and you have to be careful not to knock anything over when you walk through the aisles. My cousins and I manage the inventory, which is a headache because there are so many different sizes of lids and bowls. We don't have a fixed price list, so there is a lot of talking and bargaining going on all day. It’s just the way business is done in this market. Sometimes we have to order special items from the factory if a customer wants a specific weight of metal. It’s a traditional business, and we’ve been at this spot for a long time. There isn't much to it, just selling good sturdy pots that will last for years.
