Fashion Kottage

Our place, Fashion Kottage, is at H 38 C V C S F S, which is right near Dwarkadas Purohit Park in Mansarovar. It’s a nice enough area, and having the park nearby is a plus for when we need a quick break. The shop isn't very big, and it’s often crowded with different garments and supplies. We’ve been running things here for a few years now. It’s a small operation, mostly just family and a couple of helpers. We don't have a big corporate structure or any fancy titles. Everyone just pitches in where they are needed. Sometimes we’re working on the machines, and other times we’re dealing with the people who walk in off the street. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, though it can get hectic when we have a deadline. We don't have a polished showroom. It’s more of a place where you can see the work actually happening. There’s usually a bit of thread on the floor and scraps of fabric in the corners. We like it that way because it shows we’re actually doing something. Mansarovar is a good place for us. We know the local shops and the people who live around the park. We don't do much in the way of promotion. People usually find us by word of mouth or by just walking past. We just show up every day and do what we do. It’s a simple business for simple people.
