Emkay Casting

Out here on Road No. 12 in the VKI Area, things are always moving. Emkay Casting is at F-783/D, and if you know the area, you know it’s mostly factories and trucks. We do casting work, which is a lot of heat and heavy lifting. The floor is usually covered in sand and metal scraps. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear a nice suit. Our workers are used to the smell of hot metal and the sound of the furnace. It’s a tough job but it’s what we know how to do. We don’t have a big polished sign outside, just the name on the gate. Inside the office, there’s a couple of old chairs and a lot of logbooks. We keep track of everything by hand mostly. We deal with all sorts of orders, some big and some small. When the furnace is running, the whole place feels alive. We don’t talk much while we’re working because it’s too loud anyway. We just use signals or shout over the noise. It’s a straightforward business. We take the raw material, melt it down, and pour it into the molds. Once it cools, we clean it up and send it out. It’s what we’ve done for years. There aren't any fancy brochures here, just the sound of work and the smell of the shop. We just focus on making sure the molds are right.
