D.K. Steels

Our yard is located at Plot No. 2 in Vidyadhar Nagar. If you are coming this way, just look for the Toyota showroom because we are right near it, just across from the Vki Area. It’s a very industrial part of the city, so there’s always a lot of noise and trucks moving back and forth. D.K. Steels is where we spend our days dealing with all kinds of metal and heavy supplies. It’s not a clean job; your hands are usually covered in rust and grit by lunch. We’ve been at this spot for quite a few years now and have seen the area grow quite a bit. The shop itself is pretty basic—just a place to store the steel and an office to handle the paperwork. We don't have any polished sales pitches or anything like that. We just focus on getting the right pieces to the people who need them for their construction or repair work. Most of the guys working here are locals who know the inventory inside and out. Sometimes the heat in the yard gets to be a lot in the summer, but we just keep at it. We aren't a big corporate chain. It’s just a local business trying to do things the right way. We open the gates early to catch the first deliveries and we usually don't leave until the last truck is gone. It's just hard, honest work.
