Dhanieshwer Bartan Bhandar

Dhanieshwer Bartan Bhandar is located in Sodala in the Laxmi Nagar area on Hatwara Road. This is a shop where we sell all kinds of utensils and steel items for the home. If you walk down Hatwara Road you will usually hear the sound of stainless steel clinking together as we move the stock around. The shop is filled with stacks of plates, bowls, and large cooking pots that reach up to the lights. It is quite a sight to see so much metal shining under the tube lights in the evening. We have been in Laxmi Nagar for a good amount of time now. The space is a bit narrow so we have to stack things very high up towards the ceiling. You have to be careful when walking around the aisles so you don't knock anything over. People come to us when they are setting up a new kitchen or when there is a festival coming up. We don't have any sales pitch or anything like that. We just show the items and let people see the pieces for themselves. Sodala is a crowded part of town and Hatwara Road always has people moving about on bikes and on foot. We keep the shop open through most of the day and only close up when it gets quite late. The work involves a lot of cleaning because the steel catches fingerprints easily. It is just a local business doing what we have always done.
