Dev Tent House

Dev Tent House is located over in Renwal Manji on the Renwal Diggi Road. It’s a dusty area, especially when the wind picks up in the afternoons, but it’s home for us. We handle a lot of the tenting and seating for the villages around here. It’s not just about the tents; we also have to manage the lighting and the stages sometimes. We keep all the equipment in a large shed behind the main house. The roads out here can be a bit rough and full of potholes, so our old truck takes a beating when we are moving stuff around for functions. We usually start our work very early in the morning before it gets too hot to handle the metal pipes and heavy fabric. My cousins and I do most of the heavy lifting ourselves. We don't have a big corporate setup or anything like that. It’s just us and a few hired hands when the season gets really busy. Most of our customers are people we’ve known our whole lives. They come to Renwal Diggi Road to talk to us about their daughters' weddings or local festivals. We try to keep our gear in good shape, but with the dust and the constant moving, things get worn out fast. We just replace what we can when we have the money. It’s a decent living and we like being part of the community events in Renwal Manji.
