Classic Rovers

Our office is up on the third floor of Whispering Palms, which is D-42 over on Subhash Marg. Being in C Scheme means it’s a pretty central place, though finding a parking spot can be a real headache some mornings. We are in unit 301, so you have to head up the stairs or take the lift if it’s working right. Shiv Puri is a nice enough area, and from the windows here, you can see a bit of the neighborhood rooftops. Classic Rovers is just the name on the door, but inside, it’s mostly just us sitting at our desks with our tea and computers. The office has that lived-in feel, with old calendars on the walls and folders stacked up in corners. It’s not one of those glass-and-steel corporate places you see in the movies. We just come in, do what needs to be done, and talk about our plans for the week. The building gets a bit of a breeze if the windows are open, which is nice in the afternoons. Sometimes the traffic noise from Subhash Marg climbs all the way up here, but you get used to the city sounds after a while. It is a decent place to spend the day, and we’ve been here long enough that the walls feel familiar. We just keep things simple and try to stay organized without making a big deal out of it. It is just where we work.
