We are tucked away behind the Sadar Thana, near the Hotel Swagtam on Station Road. It’s actually right behind the R.T.D.C. Hotel Swgatam if you’re looking for a landmark. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but it’s a good spot because we’re close to the main action without being right in the middle of the street noise. I started this business after working for someone else for a long time. The office is just a room with a few chairs and a table where I keep my ledgers. I’m not much for computers, so I still write everything down by hand. It feels more real that way. My son helps out with the technical stuff when he’s home from college. We mostly do local trips and some outstation work if the drivers are up for it. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to bother with that. We have a small group of drivers who have been with us since the beginning. They’re good guys who know how to handle the Jaipur traffic. Sometimes we have to deal with car repairs or flat tires at the worst times, but that’s just part of the job. It’s a small, honest operation. We don’t have any big slogans or anything. We just try to get the work done and hope the cars keep running well.
