Choudhary Hardware Store

If you head over to Bindayka Industrial Area near the Sinware More, you’ll find our hardware store. It’s a bit of a maze inside because we try to fit as much as possible onto the shelves. Choudhary Hardware Store has everything from tiny screws to heavy-duty pipes. I usually spend half my day climbing ladders to reach stuff on the top racks. It’s not a very big shop, so things are tucked into every corner. The floor is concrete and a bit cracked, and there’s always a bit of grit from the industrial area outside. Contractors come in early in the morning, usually before I’ve even finished my first cup of tea. They’re always in a hurry. We don't do much advertising; the locals just know we're here at the turn. Sometimes I can’t find exactly what someone wants right away, so we have to dig through the bins in the back. It’s a bit disorganized, I’ll admit that. But we usually have what's needed if you give us a minute. The bell on the door rings all day long. My son helps out after school sometimes, learning where everything goes. It’s a simple life, just selling hardware and chatting with the people from the neighborhood. We don't have any fancy displays, just the goods in boxes and barrels stacked up against the wall. We close up when the streetlights come on.
