Chordia Enterprises

Our business is located at Chordia Bhawan, which is number 1631 on Sonthaliwalon Ka Rasta. It’s right off the main Chaura Rasta area. If you’ve ever been to this part of the city, you know it’s packed with history and old buildings. We’ve been in this building for a long time. It feels like the walls have seen everything. We do a bit of everything here, mostly general trading and supply. It’s a family-run place, so there’s always someone around who knows the history of the shop. The lanes are narrow and it’s always crowded with shoppers and bikes. We like being in the middle of all that energy. The office inside is old-fashioned with wooden desks and lots of ledgers. We haven’t really bothered to change much over the years because it works for us. Customers come in and sit down for a bit while we talk business. It’s more personal that way. We aren't interested in being some big modern firm with glass walls. We like the old ways of doing things. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to get stuff done in the traffic, but we don't mind. This is where we belong. We know the other shop owners on the street and we all look out for each other. It’s just a normal day for us at Chordia Bhawan and we wouldn't have it any other way.
