Casa De Plata

Casa De Plata is tucked away in the basement of Alankar Tower. The address is B-10-11, D-157/A on C. Kabir Marg in the Bani Park area. Bani Park is usually a bit calmer than the main city markets, but Kabir Marg still sees its fair share of cars and people going about their day. Since we are in the basement, it stays a little cooler down here, which is nice when the Jaipur heat gets to be too much. You have to walk down the stairs into Alankar Tower to find us. It’s not a huge space, just a couple of units knocked together to make room for our stuff. We have our displays and the places where we sit to work on the silver. It’s a bit of a hideaway from the main road noise. We don't have big windows looking out onto the street, so we rely on the lights inside to keep everything bright. Most of the people who come to see us are regulars or people who were told exactly where to find the basement units. We keep things pretty simple. There are no fancy uniforms or corporate speeches here. We just open the doors, turn on the lights, and wait for the day to start. It’s a practical way to run a shop in a busy tower like Alankar.
