We are located at 73/199 in Mansarovar, Jaipur. It’s a big neighborhood, but our spot is tucked away in a place that’s easy enough to find once you’re on the right street. Blockk Fashions is a small partnership. We don't have a giant headquarters with a lobby. It’s more of a workshop where we spend our days dealing with fabrics and sewing. The noise of the machines is pretty constant, which can be a bit much if you’re not used to it. We don't have any corporate polish here. The walls are covered in patterns and there’s always thread on the floor. We aren't looking to be the biggest fashion name in Rajasthan. We just want to make decent clothes that people can actually afford. Most of our workers live nearby, and we’ve become a bit of a tight-knit group over the years. The heat in Jaipur can make the workshop feel like an oven sometimes, but we keep the fans going and stay busy. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most of our business comes from people we’ve worked with before. We handle all the day-to-day stuff ourselves, from ordering the raw materials to checking the final stitching. It’s a lot of work and sometimes it gets stressful when we have a big deadline. But we prefer this to working in some office. It’s practical, hands-on work, and it keeps us busy from morning until night.
