Aziz Ahmed Gems

We have been running Aziz Ahmed Gems from this spot in Tripoliya Bazar for a long time. If you know Choura Rasta, you know how busy it gets around here. There is always someone shouting or a bike honking right outside the door. It is just the way it is in this part of Jaipur. We spend most of our mornings setting things up and waiting for the sun to hit the stones right. The shop is not very big, but we have everything we need. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit on the steps and talk to the neighbors. It is a simple life, really. We don't have fancy displays or those big bright lights you see in the new malls. We just have our gems and our tools. My father used to say that the location is everything, and being right here in the heart of the old city means we see everyone. The walls could use a bit of paint, I suppose, but we never seem to find the time to get it done. We are too busy with the work at hand. Most days, we just drink our tea and look through the new arrivals. It is dusty and loud, but Tripoliya Bazar is home to us. You get used to the chaos after a few years. We just keep doing what we do every single day without much fuss.
