Art India Fashions

Art India Fashions is based at 115/4 in Vijay Colony. This is part of Malviya Nagar, which is a pretty busy part of town. Our workshop is tucked away on a side street, so it’s a little quieter than the main roads. We’ve been here for quite a while now. The building is simple, and we use most of the space for sewing machines and cutting tables. There’s always the sound of machines humming in the background. We work with different kinds of fabrics, mostly making clothes for local shops or people who stop by. It’s not a glamorous place. There are bits of thread and cloth scraps all over the floor by the end of the day. We try to sweep up, but it just gets messy again tomorrow. My sister and a few cousins help out with the work. We learned how to stitch from our parents, and it just stuck. Malviya Nagar is a good place to be because we can get our supplies easily. Sometimes the narrow lanes of Vijay Colony get blocked by parked scooters, which can be a bit of a headache. But overall, it's a good spot for us. We don't do any big advertising. We just rely on the work we do to keep people coming back. It’s a small family business, and that’s how we like to keep it. We just keep our heads down and work.
