Arihanta Agencies is right there in Kishanpole Bazar across from Namak Ki Mandi. If you've ever been to this part of town you know how packed it gets. We deal with a lot of stock coming in and out every day. The shop isn't very big so we have to stack things high up to the ceiling. Sometimes it feels like a puzzle trying to find a specific box for a customer. We’ve been at 325 for years now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint but we are always too busy to get to it. We start early because the delivery trucks try to beat the traffic. Handling paperwork is the part I like the least but it has to be done. It’s just me and a couple of helpers mostly. We drink a lot of chai from the stall next door while we wait for customers. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon and it gets quite warm. People come in looking for all sorts of things and we try to help them find what they need. It’s not a quiet job by any means. There’s always someone haggling or a scooter horn honking right outside the door. We stay open until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. It’s just a normal trading life here in the heart of Jaipur. We know most of the other shopkeepers around us and we talk about the market prices often.
