You can find Agarawal Printers at 521 Hanuman Ji Ka Rasta, right off Tonk Road. If you walk in, the first thing you’ll notice is the smell of ink and paper. It’s a smell that stays on your clothes long after you leave. We have stacks of paper everywhere and the sound of the machines is like background music to us. Tonk Road is always moving, but our little rasta is a bit more tucked away. It’s still busy, just in a different way. We started this because we knew how to handle the presses. There’s no big marketing team here, just a few of us who know how to get the ink right. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the morning fixing a jam, but that’s part of the trade. We do all sorts of printing, mostly things people need for their own small businesses or family events. The shop isn't very large so we have to be clever about where we put everything. If you come by, you might see us eating lunch right at the work table. We don't have a fancy break room. It’s a local shop through and through. We know our regulars by their names and what they usually need. It’s a lot of work and our hands are usually stained with black or blue ink by five o'clock. We just keep the presses rolling as long as there is paper.
