Abhinav Fashions

Abhinav Fashions is located at 173 Jamdoli Dher Ke Bala, a place that feels a little bit removed from the main city rush but stays busy in its own way. The building is a simple structure where we do all our fashion work, mostly involving stitching and finishing different types of garments. We have a row of machines that have been humming along for years, and the people who work them are really the ones who keep the place going. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front of the shop quite hard, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down. It’s a local operation where everyone knows everyone else’s name. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website; we just have our workspace and the clothes we make. Sometimes the delivery truck has trouble finding number 173 because the road signs aren't great, so we have to go out and wave them down. The floor is usually covered in thread and small scraps of cloth that we sweep up at the end of every shift. We have a small corner where we keep our supplies of needles and bobbins. It’s not a high-end boutique, just a practical fashion unit where we work hard and try to stay on top of the orders. The air is always filled with the sound of clicking needles and the smell of steam from the irons.
