You can find 18 K Tours & Travels at 4 Ta 28 in Jawahar Nagar, right along the Data Ramgarh Road. It's a busy stretch of road and we’ve been part of it for a while now. The office is pretty basic, just a place to sit and talk about where people need to go. We don't have any of those fancy computers with giant screens, just what we need to get the job done. Most of the folks who come to us are from the neighborhood. They know us by name and we know their families. That's the nice thing about being in Jawahar Nagar. It feels like a real place, not just a bunch of buildings. We spend a lot of time on the phone, checking on buses or cars. Sometimes the connection is bad, but we manage. We aren't some big corporation with a thousand employees. It’s just us here, trying to make things work. The floor is a bit uneven in one corner, so we put a piece of cardboard under the desk leg. It’s little things like that which give the place character. We don't spend money on advertising; we just hope that if we do a decent job, people will tell their cousins about us. That’s how we’ve always done it. We just keep moving forward, one day at a time. It's a bit of a climb up the stairs to get here, but the view of the street is worth it.
