Out on Nemawar Road in Indore, you’ll find our unit at Plot No. 368,/1/2 in Badia Keema Village. It’s an agro-industrial area, so there are many plants like ours. We work with food products, mostly processing what comes in from the local farms. The machinery is loud and it runs for hours. There is always a smell of toasted grain or raw spices in the air. We have a small group of workers who have been with us since the start. We don't have a corporate office with air conditioning. We mostly spend our time on the floor, checking the machines or watching the bags get filled. The trucks line up outside to take the goods to the city. It’s a lot of coordination with drivers and wholesalers. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, drinking tea and talking about the crop prices. The village of Badia Keema is a good place for this kind of work. We are close enough to Indore to get things moved quickly. The building itself is just a big shed with high roofs to keep it cool. We keep our records in big notebooks and try to stay ahead of the schedule. It’s a messy, loud, and busy way to make a living, but it’s what we know. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to keep the machines humming.
