Shivalaya Machinery Mfg. Company is tucked away behind the old Hukumchand Mill in Indore. We are at number 1, Shivaji Nagar. If you are familiar with this part of the city, you know it’s mostly industrial and gets quite dusty during the dry season. We’ve been operating out of this workshop for a long time now. The building isn't new, but it holds all our machines and tools just fine. We spend most of our hours out on the floor, getting our hands dirty with the manufacturing work. It's a loud place when the machines are running, so we usually have to shout a bit to hear each other. Being right behind the mill makes it easy to find once you get into the lane. We don't have a receptionist or anything, so if someone stops by, one of us just wipes our hands and comes to the door. It’s honest work and we like being in Indore. The neighborhood has changed over the years, but we’ve stayed put. We make machinery parts and handle various fabrication jobs that come our way. We don't bother with fancy brochures or a big sales team. Most of our neighbors know us, and we know them. It’s just a regular shop where we try to do things right. Sometimes the power cuts out, which is annoying, but we manage. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't.
